Estate Le Vieux Manoir is located on a hill so you can enjoy many beautiful views.

Le Vieux Manoir is located 300 meters from the small, picturesque village of Valeilles, among the orchards and surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Tarn and Garonne, which borders the department of the Lot in the Quercy. This offers a wide variety of landscapes and culture. The climate is characterized by warm summers and mild winters. The colors of nature are spectacular in both spring and autumn.

Our 'Quercy Blanc Manoir, dating from 1637 and listed as a cultural heritage site by the French Ministry of Culture, is one of the oldest buildings in the region.

The estate is over 5 hectares in size and consists of the Manoir, of which the old stables under the house have been converted into two luxury 2-person gites which can also be rented together for a family. It is possible to rent all three gites with your family, friends or family. The former grange which has been completely converted into a luxury holiday home is located opposite the Manoir.


Near

The nearest village Dausse is a small supermarket where you can get fresh bread. In July and August you will also find the night market on Tuesdays where you can enjoy the purchased products at long tables. In the village of Roquecor (6 km) there is a small local market every Sunday morning where you can enjoy a delicious lunch in the only local restaurant in the village square overlooking the Tarn and Garonne.

 

In addition, at a distance of 12 km you will find the village of Montaigu de Quercy. Here you will find a boulangerie artisan, an Intermarché, several restaurants, a café tabac and the organic market on Saturday morning, among which more the classrooms offer their freshly harvested products for sale.

 

Besides the beautiful nature in the Tarn and Garonne, you will also find a wonderful architectural heritage consisting of medieval cities such as: Bruniquel, Caylus, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, Rocamadour, Conques, Saint-Cirq-La Popie, Sarlat - le - Caneda and the art and history city of Montauban, home to the UNESCO - listed abbey.

 

The historic town of Cahors is at a distance of 40 km. You can spend a day in this city. Cahors offers many cozy restaurants and terraces and has a high shopping content. In addition, it is definitely worth taking a boat trip on the River Lot.

 

For the whole family

Valeilles is located in the beautiful countryside of the Tarn and Garonne, where plains and hills alternate, which invites enthusiasts to a nice bike or hiking trip. We have hiking trails for you in Montaigu de Quercy, Lauzerte, Bouloc and Bourg de Visa, these villages are within a radius of 30 km. For the children there is the amusement park Walibi Aquitaine in Agen (30 km) and for the little ones Youpiparc in Cahors. (50 km). There are plenty of water sports in Montaigu Plage such as: flyboarding, renting watercraft, pedal boats and canoes.

 

For the enthusiastic fishermen among you, we have the current fishing guide in-house with numerous options nearby. You can apply for your fishing card online in advance.

 

A tennis court is located in our village of Valeilles within walking distance (500 m) and how about a great canoe trip along France's most picturesque villages such as St. Cirque de Popie and St. Antonin Noble le val that are more than worth a visit anyway.

 

Our holiday home is not on the golf course but less than 20 km away you can play a serious ball at the 18 hole Golf and Country Club of Villeneuve sur Lot or at the 9 hole Golf des Roucous in Sauveterre (40 km).

 

Culinary & Wine

A stay on our estate is also an opportunity to taste the delicious regional products such as; the Chasselas grape from Moissac, Cassoulet, Foie Gras and all other specialties based on duck.

 

We are also surrounded by the three wine regions: Cahors, Bergerac and Bordeaux. It is possible to visit the wineries in which these areas are rich.

 

You can also buy wine from the many wine chateaux, such as a simple vin du table or one of the wine regions mentioned above.

 

We, Sem and Louise, would like to share with you our culinary hobby that got out of hand with which we spoil the guests present with the local regional products.

 

The meals are composed in consultation with the guests and cost 25 euros p.p. Matching wine arrangement from euros 7.50 p.p.A arrival meal can also be provided which costs 15 euros p.p.

 

An adapted meal can be prepared for the children.

 

Opposite the house is a herb greenhouse that you can always use and fresh fruit can be picked in the orchard!
